Chicago Elders Choir 미주한인장로선교회의 성가단. 1998년 창단, 시카고 지역 장로 50여 명이 함께 노래합니다. The choir of Korean Elders Mission of America since 1998: about fifty Chicago church elders singing together.

1998년 미주한인장로선교회 음악분과에서 단원 25명으로 시작했습니다. 정기연주회와 연합찬양제, 교회 초청 찬양으로 시카고를 섬기고, 다섯 차례 모국 순회에서는 교도소와 한센인 마을, 장애인 시설을 찾아 노래했습니다. Founded in 1998 by the mission’s music committee with 25 singers. The choir serves Chicago through its annual concert, the Joint Praise Festival and church invitations, and on five tours of Korea has sung in prisons, a Hansen’s disease village and care homes.

성가단 운영 세칙Choir rules

미주한인장로선교회 정관 제10조에 따른 세칙입니다.Under Article 10 of the mission’s bylaws. English is an unofficial translation.

1–3. 명칭·목적·단원1–3. Name, purpose, members

1. (명칭) 본 성가단의 명칭은 시카고 장로 성가단(이하 성가단)이라 한다.1. (Name) The Chicago Elders Choir.

2. (목적) 본 성가단은 찬양을 통해서 하나님께 영광을 돌리며, 선교와 회원간의 친목을 도모하는데 그 목적이 있다.2. (Purpose) To give glory to God through praise, and to further mission and fellowship among members.

3. (단원) 본 성가단의 입단은 정관 제5조에 준한다.3. (Members) Membership follows Article 5 of the bylaws.

4–6. 임원·지휘자와 반주자·부칙4–6. Officers, conductor and pianist

4. (임원과 임무) 1) 단장(1인), 부단장(1인): 단장, 부단장의 선출은 정관 제7조의 규정(*부단장 선출)에 준한다. 2) 악장(1인): 단장과 지휘자가 협의하여 선임하며 악보를 관리한다. 3) 파트장(각 1인): 단장이 선임하며 연락업무를 담당한다.4. (Officers) 1) Director and associate director (1 each), chosen as in Article 7. 2) Librarian (1), appointed by the director with the conductor; keeps the scores. 3) Part leaders (1 per part), appointed by the director; handle communication.

5. (지휘자, 반주자) 본 성가단에는 지휘자(1인), 반주자(1인)를 두며, 음악에 관한 일체의 권한은 지휘자에게 있다(단, 연습시간, 대외 출장 찬양, 사례는 임원회의 결의로 한다).5. (Conductor and pianist) One each; the conductor holds all musical authority (rehearsal times, outside engagements and honoraria are decided by the officers).

6. (부칙) 위 각 항 외의 사항은 선교회 정관에 준한다.6. (Other) Anything else follows the mission’s bylaws.

Luce Voice
Ensemble

성가단의 남성 중창단입니다. Luce는 ‘빛’이라는 뜻입니다. 전문 보컬 트레이닝을 받으며 정기연주회 협연, 찬양집회와 순회선교, 교회와 부흥회 초청 찬양을 맡습니다. The choir’s male vocal ensemble; “Luce” means light. With professional vocal training, its members sing at the choir’s concerts, at worship evenings and on mission tours, and at churches that invite them.

지원 자격: 만 70세 이하로 앙상블 찬양과 성악 훈련에 열정이 있는 시카고 지역 장로.Who can apply: Chicago-area elders aged 70 or under with a heart for ensemble singing and vocal training.

복음주의 교단에 속한 시카고 지역의 시무·사역·은퇴 장로, 만 70세 이하Serving, ministering or retired elders of evangelical churches in the Chicago area, aged 70 or under

남성 중창단 Luce Voice Ensemble 단원도 함께 모집합니다. 앙상블 찬양과 성악 훈련에 열정이 있는 만 70세 이하 시카고 지역 장로라면 지원할 수 있으며, 전문 보컬 트레이닝을 받습니다.The male ensemble Luce Voice Ensemble is recruiting too: Chicago-area elders aged 70 or under who are eager for ensemble singing and vocal training. Professional coaching is provided.
